  • Update Regarding Multitracks + Registration

It's clear that this thread needs some love and attention. A lot of the links have either expired or been miss-labelled. With the amount of tracks there are, this is quite a practice. I have made the decision to lock this thread from further replies and to put out this notice that I will be refreshing this thread with updated links and guidance where needed.

I will update the thread on multitracks and the first post with any forth coming updates about this in due course. For information - I have also disabled user registrations to do some tidyup. Stay tuned.

Welcome, @Cato !! This week, or very soon - You'll be receiving your very own exclusive milestone badge. Thank you for joining, and welcome to Behind The Mask! :)

Hey there!! I'm Diana (not the dirty one 😜) and a huge dreamer✨. I've been a massive fan of Michael for about four years and I still feel honored to be part of this wonderful community. I love MJ's entire discography though, I must say, I have a deep affection for Off The Wall and Bad. My biggest dream? Finding that DeLorean and goin' back in time to meet Mike.

Hey! How are you? Dreammmerrr! Thank you for joining us! We're still finding our feet a little, and I have many things planned - unfortunately, I work full time, so I rely on our resident @Ben Nagle to help out where possible (he does a wonderful job!)

Off The Wall and Bad! I like it. For me it's more Bad and Dangerous. It'll be nice to see you around!

Hi, I found BTM from the MJCast which I love. I've been a dedicated fan all my life my childhood was full of 70's disco, funk and pop music so of course Michael Jackson is my top artist. I also love R&B, New Jack Swing, Janet Jackson, Jacksons, Prince etc.. and loads of guilty pleasures across music. I consider myself knowledgeable about his life and career but I'm always looking for new Michael Jackson news and chit chat.

I love MJ remixes, the fan community is great in this department, I'm an amature 'remix' person so if the rules allow, I might post a few.

I miss the Michael Jackson forums from 'the old days' - I can't remember all the forum names now but around 2000 ish 'smooth-criminal' was up and we had a blast discussing Michael, The Artist. My username back then was Durrson (stylised as "Ðúřř§õń" - but hey we were young then :). I'm looking forward to this format again, reading the posts and chatting with everyone. :)

Hi there ! :)

I'm Franck, Haitian, nearly 34 years old, and was born in France. I think I've been a real fan since 2001. That's when the remastered versions of his solo albums were released. I heard good things about this forum while listening to the podcast "MJCast". Thanks for creating this forum.

Have a nice week, guys ! :)

Hello my fellow MJ fans, I am a life long fan of Michael’s. I found this forum listening to the MJ Cast. I am happy to find a place that makes us old timers feel welcome and important 😂

My journey being an MJ fan hasn’t always been a smooth one as many older fans can attest to but I have to say - since LN (I have not nor will ever watch it) the younger fans energy and fire for justice for Michael has been so inspiring to me. I really see Michael and his music in a new light because of them since 2019. I wanted to take this time to say big thank you to all MJ warriors out there that will stop at nothing until the truth is revealed.

Hi everyone, my name is Katie - 28 y/o from Chicago! I also came here from the mjcast, and was excited to hear about this because I remember the old forum fondly, same with pretty much anything related to the earlier MJ communities 😃 i’ve been a fan since around 2004 when I first heard the Jackson 5 playing in Target oddly, and it stopped me in my tracks. Looking forward to lurking

Hi Everyone

My name's Louise and I live in Hampshire, England. Been a fan since around 1987, so of course my favourite album is Bad!

Was so pleased to hear about this place (also on the MJ Cast!), I have missed the forum days of yesteryear. Looking forward to 'speaking' to some of you soon!

Hey everyone. Matthias here.

My journey as a fan started in the final decade of the socialist east of Germany (GDR), where exposure to western pop cultur was generally rather unwanted and limited. When I was ~6 years old, my parents were lucky enough to get hold of a copy of the Thriller vinyl LP, when the big state owned record label AMIGA got the license to release it here in 1984. I remember next to some children's storybook LP's and some classical music albums, the Thriller LP was one of the records I asked my parents to put on, again and again.

When Germany reunited in 1989, I finally had full access and was ready to grow into being a full-fledged fan and go bonkers with collecting MJ stuff. I had several MJ pen pals in other countries, found out all the mailorders that had the rare stuff and ultimately specialized on collecting promo Vinyl and CDs, hunting down all of the many official remixes and versions of songs. I first saw Michael perform in Berlin 1992 and later travelled to 10 of the european HIStory concerts.

After that I badly needed a break, so pretty much slept over the Invincible era. By the time of the trial in 2003 I got pulled back in. Thankfully the internet was established by then, so the MJ online communities would provide all the infos about the trial that the mainstream media wouldn't.

I've retired from collecting with the end of the HIStory era and now just concentrate on the things that really matter... Michael's art and the unique person that he was.

Hi Matthias, great story about discovering Michael and it's really interesting to learn new perspectives. I grew up with Off The Wall & Thriller with access to all his and the Jackson's back catalogue and I realise I was so lucky not to have any barriers to any kind of music. Michael has always been, and always will be number one :)

Wow! *takes a deep breath*

Hey Therese!
My name is Kristin and I'm 40 years old. I have been a fan since my teenage years. My favourite albums are the Dangerous and the Off the wall album.
I heared about the forum today on the MJ Cast.
Hey @Dreamer ! I like your avatar. What is your first memory being a fan as a teenager? Would love to hear more. Let me know if you love the new theme/style for the forum!

The MJCast! Our favourite friends <3 @Jamon Bull @whatwastheQ and @EliseCapron have done, and continue to do amazing work. What's your favourite disco MJ/Jacksons tune? Please share your stories around the forum. I, and I'm sure others would love to read them.

MJ Remixes? Yes! I've curated a section for those, which I need to update soon - check them our here, if you'd like - https://www.behind-the-mask.net/discussion/media/?category=13

smooth-criminal! I remember that. I need to try and hunt down the owner. I wonder who he/she actually was? I remember being in love with the aesthetic and the neat info. They used to change it sometimes, much like I try to here. Any tips or hints you would love to see here, drop me a line!

Thanks for for MJ All The Songs... it's one of the best Michael Jackson books I've ever read!!

Hi Franck! Haitian! Cool. Welcome to the board. Please let me know if you ever have any questions. What has been your favourite episode of the podcast so far? One of mine is the one with Michael Prince. He's awesome, and a really nice guy to talk to.

Hi, @CuspingTheMoon ! Interesting username. I like it. Also, welcome from the MJ Cast! It is indeed inspiring and hearfelt to see people stand up for what's right. This injustice must stop. Your thanks are appreciated. Thank you for joining us.

Mattias! MJ Online was one of my favourites. I was briefly a moderator there under the same username, I use now. It was shortly after they closed that with some others, we formed MaxJax. It's really nice to have you here. Thank you! Be sure to post more pictures of your collection, I'd love to see it!

Best wishes - Greg

Thank you and belated Merry Christmas to you too. Things aren't so bad here thanks, there's not much to do where I am anyway, so tier 4 isn't making an awful lot of difference!

Yep, will defo let you know if I think of anything.

Thanks again!
