In this article, we will explore some of the concept art created and envisioned for the Vegas resident show, Michael Jackson ONE. Some of these images are smaller than I'd hoped, but you get the idea.

My involvement in the project began with designing backgrounds for the multimedia portion. Seven screens behind the performers and props and projections on the proscenium, an irregular format for sure. The challenge was to design and paint in a format that is not TV and creating the illusion of depth without relying heavily on linear perspective, allowing all the spectators the same degree of immersion. I followed up with production paintings for certain backgrounds as well as painted assets mapped on 3d objects in the scene.
