Promotion has been extremely lack-lustre for what is touted as the biggest selling album of all time. At the time of writing, it was only in the past two days that the official Michael Jackson social media channels updated their branding to reflect the new album, Thriller 40.
There appears to be no TV commercials. No magazine ads (inserts in magazines) and no huge promotion anywhere. The country that seems to be running the lead in promotion for the album seems to be China. An always positive community and devout fanbase to the King of Pop.
Earlier in the month, The Michael Jackson Estate announced that they would be holding fan launch events, immersive events and a screening of the incoming 'Thriller' documentary, produced by Nelson George.
